In Her Own Words:
I started my interior design career at Sara Davidson Interiors in Oxford, Mississippi and worked there about a year and a half under an extremely gifted mentor. The big city (Dallas, Texas) then began calling me where I worked for an aviation company designing the interiors of custom corporate jets for Forbes 400 and various international clients. Yearning to return to the deep south again, I moved to Jackson, Mississippi and worked for a well-known architectural firm (then called Dean, Dale, and Dean, P.A.). Head of Interiors, Beth Green and I became great friends, and when she started her own firm, I followed her. Our clients were residential and commercial, and we focused a lot on healthcare design as well as corporate.
In the meantime, I got married and had a baby. Although, the design business was profitable in Jackson, our family decided to make a move to the Memphis, Tennessee, area. It was there that I first opened my own firm in 1991, where my client work focused on facility management for FedEx and an enormous amount of healthcare design. Now in Mississippi again, my work consists of Greek interiors, government, university, high-end residential, and dorm-room design.
